A 1882-89 Egypt Medal To Officer's Servant Newly Listed and is dated 31stA 1882 89 Egypt Medal to Officer's Servant 1882 Reverse, (James Holdaway Ward Room Officer's Servant on board Hm's Euphrates). Naming in running script, neatly and smartly re named, inverted, pawn broker's mark on the reverse, light contact, very fine. Footnote: The medal has been most elaborately re named, presumably by Holdaway's master, and then presented to him as a token of appreciation. However, perhaps Holdaway did not fully appreciate this
