A Royal Merit Order Of St. Michael Merit Medal Hold Footnote: This Order was foundedA fine example of a Bavarian Royal Merit Order of St. Michael Merit Medal (Bayerisch Kniglicher Verdienstorden vom heiligen Michael); c. 1910, a silver medal; the obverse depicting St. Michael slaying a dragon his shield reads Quis Ut Deus (Latin Who [is] like God?); the reverse inscribed Viruti (Latin Virtue); on loop for suspension, with its period original shortened ribbon (sewn together around the loop on one end); measuring 36. 01 mm in diameter;
