A round cap constructed of field grey wool, with a cap band constructed of red wool, with the crown piped in poppy red wool, the front presents two painted, sheet metal cockades, the top is the Reichskokade and the bottom denotes the state, the interior is lined in white calico and stamped with size 54 and date 1916, measuring 17 cm (w) x 18. 5 cm (l) x 9 cm (h), with light soiling present on interior, mild paint loss on cockades, and in
