chipping and loss evident in the white enamels on the arm at 12 o'clock on the reverse

with parts of the bow still remaining visible above the waterline in Rombaksbotten

Germany, HJ. A Field Cap Archive bearing an exterior inscription of(HJ Sommer Mtze). An extremely well preserved HJ field cap, constructed of khaki tan cotton. The cap is fully surrounded by stylized side walls which are trimmed along the seam with red piping. Stitched onto the lower peak is an embroidered HJ insignia, measuring 15 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). The interior is fully encompassed by a multi piece golden brown rayon liner. Stitched onto the left side is a fully intact Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label bearing a
