this Grenache-dominant cuvee is sourced from two sites just north of the boundary of Chateauneuf-du-Pape: Maucoil and Bois Lauzon
with linearity and grip - the melding of fruit skins and soil running the show and finishing with a nice metal-mineral acid thread
The wine ferments and ages in oak barrels with regular bâtonnage and is bottled after 18 months
Winemaker Franco Massolino has done a wonderful job of marrying change with a respect for tradition
The palate is crisp and fresh

A seductive, full bodied style exhibiting spice and blackberry aromas. The complex berry flavours are a result of time honoured basket pressing, balanced with fine tannins and subtle oak, finishing with length and depth. Time in the cellar of 7 10 years.
