Germany, SS. A First Pattern Allgemeine SS Totenkopf Visor Cap Insignia visually-hidden 1871 in Durham(Allgemeine SS Totenkopf fr die Schirmmtze, 1. Form). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a jawless Danziger style Totenkopf, the reverse with two attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), demonstrating crude replacement of the reverse attachment prongs, in very fine condition.
