Bavaria, Kingdom. A Royal Merit Order Of St. Michael, Grand Cross Sash Hold François became a Second Lieutenant(Kniglicher Verdienstorden vom hl. Michael). Instituted 16 February 1837. (1877 1918 Issue). A fine early 20th century sash fabricated from silk incorporating a decorative moir pattern, with a wide Pink field flanked by royal blue stripes on either side, a large bow tied rosette sewn in place near the bottom end for the placement of the badge, measuring 10 cm (w) x 80. 5 cm in length, vibrant colours, intact stitching, extremely fine.
